About the Role
DA Languages is seeking freelance interpreters to work with our clients across the UK, with a focus on the Portsmouth and Southampton areas. As a freelance interpreter, you will play a crucial role in facilitating effective communication between clients and limited English speakers.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret for clients in various settings, including social services, medical appointments, and legal matters
- Work with a diverse range of languages, including Arabic, Bengali, Bulgarian, Kurdish Sorani, Mandarin, Portuguese, Romanian, Spanish, and Vietnamese
- Collaborate with our team to ensure high-quality interpretation services
Requirements
- Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI) or equivalent qualification
- Experience in community interpreting or a related field
- Strong linguistic skills and ability to think on your feet
