We are currently seeking a Senior Manager of Compliance Monitoring to contribute to the advancement and management of Gilead's healthcare compliance monitoring framework. This role will be integral in ensuring adherence to compliance standards across our operations.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will collaborate with the Global Compliance Monitoring Director to facilitate effective oversight of business operations, ensuring alignment with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. Responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the development of a comprehensive monitoring strategy that incorporates data analytics, risk-based assessments, and support for investigations and complaints.
  • Engaging with various departments, including Legal, IT, Commercial, and Medical Affairs, to gather insights and address compliance-related challenges.
  • Driving innovation in compliance monitoring practices, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.
  • Managing the execution of the global monitoring plan, focusing on areas of historical risk and compliance anomalies.
  • Conducting thorough monitoring activities, including planning, execution, and reporting, while ensuring alignment with compliance objectives.
  • Collaborating with business units to address potential compliance risks identified through monitoring activities.
  • Supporting the enhancement of compliance-related systems to improve data capture and analysis.
  • Generating detailed reports that document monitoring activities, observations, and recommendations for leadership review.
  • Partnering with various teams to explore the use of monitoring data in supporting business objectives.
  • Staying informed about emerging business trends to adapt monitoring strategies accordingly.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in risk management within the biopharmaceutical sector, with a preference for experience in multinational organizations. Key qualifications include:

  • 4-5+ years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, particularly in compliance monitoring and auditing.
  • A Bachelor's degree is required; advanced degrees or certifications are preferred.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to work independently and lead initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English.
  • A comprehensive understanding of compliance frameworks and the ability to implement effective monitoring programs.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and methodologies.
