Position Overview:

The Full-Time Sales Associate plays a vital role in supporting the store management team with daily operational tasks, which encompass delivering outstanding customer service, boosting sales, merchandising, and fulfilling additional responsibilities as directed by management. All tasks are expected to be executed in a professional, courteous, dependable, and results-driven manner.

Key Responsibilities:

Cultivates customer relationships by showcasing a strong commitment to customer service, assisting all patrons in a professional, courteous, reliable, attentive, honest, and responsive manner. Recognizes customer needs and offers knowledgeable guidance to help customers choose the products that best fit their requirements. Exhibits fundamental fashion and trend awareness and effectively meets customer needs by selling suitable merchandise while upholding DTLR standards and fostering relationships. Aids in processing shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing. Maintains and displays a positive, enthusiastic attitude towards the job and the company. Adheres to and enforces all company policies. Engages in service training and product programs. Assists the Store Manager in monitoring and identifying issues related to loss or inconsistencies in the store to ensure the store meets its shrinkage goals that align with company standards. Oversees and ensures compliance with all operational, safety, and business standards. Supports the training of all employees in effective selling and merchandising techniques. Actively works to minimize inventory shrinkage by safeguarding the store against theft and internal loss. Follows loss prevention policies and security protocols. Enforces and adheres to proper point of sale procedures. Balances all funds collected during shifts and collaborates with store management to investigate discrepancies. Keeps management updated on significant developments, potential issues, and relevant information necessary for effective management. Helps maintain a tidy and organized sales environment. Performs other duties as assigned. A standard work week consists of a minimum of 35 hours up to a maximum of 40 hours.

To succeed in this role, the employee must effectively perform each essential duty. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities necessary:

Education And Experience:

Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not mandatory. High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Skills And Knowledge Requirements:

Requires a strong command of the English language to communicate effectively with management, customers, and other staff. Demonstrated leadership capabilities and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to take charge of the store when required. Open availability and flexibility to meet customer demands and business needs. Must possess basic fashion and style trend knowledge and a desire to engage with customers in a retail environment. Proven ability to build and work as part of a team, handle responsibilities, and understand the needs of the street lifestyle customer. Willingness to work in multiple stores within the assigned district.

Physical Requirements:

Individuals must be able to stand for extended periods; lift, carry, push/pull up to 50 lbs. Able to work extended hours during critical project phases; and capable of working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with flexibility. The incumbent must thrive in a fast-paced setting. Must have reliable transportation.
