About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physiotherapist to join our dedicated Paediatric Neuro-Disability team at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people aged 0-19 years old across Norwich and Norfolk.

As a Highly Specialist Physiotherapist, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive physiotherapy care to patients with a wide range of neurological conditions. This includes cerebral palsy, acquired brain injury, neuromuscular disease, oncological conditions, and more. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver individualized treatment plans and support the holistic well-being of our young patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert clinical assessment and management of children with neurological conditions, utilizing your advanced physiotherapy skills and knowledge.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the specific needs of each patient, incorporating a range of therapeutic techniques.
  • Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, and speech therapists, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers about their child's condition, treatment options, and strategies for home management.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of physiotherapy services within the department.

Essential Requirements

  • Diploma/Degree in Physiotherapy
  • Registration with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Extensive post-qualification experience, including significant experience at a senior level in areas relevant to paediatric neurology.
  • Proven ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong clinical governance and audit skills.
