Job Overview

2nd Line Support Engineer

VIQU Ltd is a prominent player in the financial services sector, focused on providing exceptional solutions to its clientele. As part of a significant operational transition, we are in search of a proficient 2nd Line Support Engineer to facilitate a critical domain migration process. This role involves collaborating with users in the financial domain, assisting them in configuring their laptops for the new domain, and ensuring a smooth transition with ongoing support.

The ideal candidate will possess experience in a merger context and have a background in supporting tenant-tenant/domain migrations in prior roles.

This position requires the 2nd Line Support Engineer to be present onsite throughout the workweek.

Additionally, there will be occasional travel to various locations across the UK, with all expenses reimbursed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Windows 10/11: Administration and support duties.
  • Office 365: Administration and support responsibilities.
  • Active Directory: Relevant experience is essential.
  • User Configuration:
    • Assist users in setting up their laptops within the new domain.
    • Ensure accurate migration of user settings, applications, and data.
    • Provide comprehensive guidance to users throughout the transition.
  • Ongoing Support:
    • Deliver continuous technical assistance post-login to the new domain.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to connectivity, application access, or user profiles.
    • Work collaboratively with 3rd line support and other IT teams to address complex challenges.
  • Documentation & Training:
    • Maintain thorough records of user interactions and resolutions.
    • Create and update documentation to support the transition process.
    • Conduct training sessions to help users acclimate to the new domain environment.
  • Occasional travel to various locations across the UK, with all expenses reimbursed.

This role is based onsite and is integral to ensuring a successful migration for our users.
