Counsellor on Placement

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Counsellor to provide emotional and therapeutic support to children and young people in our partner schools. As a Counsellor on Placement, you will work in a therapeutic capacity with up to 3 children, offering one-to-one counselling sessions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality therapeutic support to children and young people aged 4-18 in our partner schools.
- Work in a team to deliver a comprehensive counselling service, including individual and group sessions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with children, families, and school staff.
- Contribute to the development of our counselling service, including identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes.
- Participate in regular supervision and training to ensure ongoing professional development.
Requirements
- Be a fully qualified Counsellor, Therapist, or Clinical Psychologist, or studying towards one of these professions.
- Have a strong understanding of child development and the impact of trauma on children.
- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be able to maintain confidentiality and work within our organisation's policies and procedures.
