Counsellor Placement Opportunity

We are seeking a qualified Counsellor to join our team as a Counsellor on Placement. As a Counsellor on Placement, you will provide emotional and therapeutic support to children and young people aged 4-18 in our partner schools.
Key Responsibilities- Provide one-to-one counselling to children and young people in a therapeutic capacity.
- Work in a minimum of one day per week, with the opportunity to attend up to six optional workshops throughout the year.
- Participate in regular supervision and tailored training workshops to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Contribute to the mental health and well-being of children and young people in our partner schools.
- A high level of support through regular supervision, tailored training workshops, and a well-recognised clinical placement.
- A comprehensive induction programme and clinical supervision at the end of each day.
- The opportunity to attend up to six optional workshops throughout the year, recognised as continuing professional development time.
- Acceptance of sessions spent with children as clinical hours towards professional accreditation, recognised by the BACP and UKCP.
- A placement that can lead to a job opportunity and career with Place2Be, with over 2/3 of our clinical staff having previously been Counsellors on Placement.
We are looking for a fully qualified Counsellor, Therapist, or Clinical Psychologist, or someone studying towards one of these professions. You will have a Diploma in Counselling (Level 4 or above), a Degree, MSc, or MA in Counselling, Counselling Psychology, or Psychotherapy, or relevant experience of direct work with children.
