Job Summary

The School of Science at Loughborough University is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the role of Postgraduate Research Officer. This position involves working closely with colleagues from the Doctoral College Office, the School's Associate Dean for Research and Innovation, and the Director of Doctoral Programmes to deliver exceptional customer service and manage the day-to-day administration of the School's postgraduate research provision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the recruitment, administration, and progression processes for postgraduate research students, including studentships, grant, and fellowship applications.
  • Provide outstanding service to students, staff, and stakeholders, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory changes and maintain accurate records.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify and implement process improvements, enhancing the overall student experience.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to postgraduate research administration.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage complex workloads.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Background in postgraduate research administration or a related field.
