Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Associate to join our team at the Digital Preservation Coalition. The successful candidate will work closely with our team to deliver a project focused on improving the preservation, access, and usability of born-digital archives.

Project Overview

The project, Unlocking our Digital Past with Artificial Intelligence (LUSTRE), aims to engage with policy makers, facilitate evidence-based discussion, and connect policy makers with scholars and archivists. The project is funded by the AHRC Follow On scheme and involves collaboration with various partners, including the Cabinet Office, The National Archives, and the Science Museum Group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with our team to deliver the project, including engaging with policy makers and facilitating evidence-based discussion.
  • Collaborate with scholars and archivists to connect policy makers with relevant expertise.
  • Contribute to the development of strategies for preserving and accessing born-digital archives.

Requirements

  • Postgraduate training in a relevant field, such as social sciences or humanities.
  • Experience in qualitative data collection and analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills and competence in IT skills and digital media.
