About the Role

Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Credit Risk Model Implementation Specialist to join their team. As a key member of the risk management department, you will play a crucial role in the maintenance and execution of credit impairment models, DoD engines, and other risk management tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation of credit risk models to produce accurate model output
  • Oversee the change process and implementation of new models, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems
  • Develop and maintain analytics dashboards, monitoring tools, and MI reports to provide insights into credit risk
  • Collaborate with other risk areas, such as forecasting, portfolio management, and collections, to ensure a comprehensive understanding of credit risk
  • Track and implement changes resulting from on-site inspections, internal and external audit feedback, and data migrations
  • Engage with external auditors to support the successful completion of audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Support internal audit activities and close internal validation points
  • Review and challenge the next generation credit risk provisioning models to ensure accuracy and effectiveness
Requirements
  • Experience working with credit risk models, including validation, building, and development
  • Proficiency in SAS and advanced Excel skills
  • Knowledge of current local market dynamics, key players, and strategies, as well as current market pressures that impact credit risk
  • Good understanding of risk management regulation and guidelines on loss reserve methodologies and relevant accounting standards
