About the Role

As a Technician with Network Rail, you will play a vital role in maintaining the safety and efficiency of the rail network. You will work outdoors in all weathers, carrying out maintenance and faulting tasks, and developing your management skills by deputising for the Team Leader.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out maintenance and faulting tasks on the rail network
  • Develop and implement safe systems of work
  • Lead and motivate a team to deliver safe and efficient work
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Contribute to the development of the team and the organisation
Requirements
  • Experience of arranging and implementing safe systems of work
  • Knowledge of discipline-specific maintenance, inspection, faulting and renewal techniques
  • Strong communication skills, both in person and in writing
  • Ability to work shifts in all weathers
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills
