Technician - Rail Maintenance Specialist

About the Role
As a Technician at Network Rail, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our rail network. You will work as part of a team to perform maintenance tasks, troubleshoot issues, and provide support to our operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspection and fault-finding, to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our rail network.
- Work collaboratively with our operations teams to identify and resolve issues, and to implement safety improvements.
- Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of our rail network, including its infrastructure, systems, and processes.
- Contribute to the development of safety procedures and protocols, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities to meet deadlines.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a maintenance or technical role, preferably in a railway or transportation environment.
- Strong knowledge of safety procedures and protocols, and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a team, and to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities to meet deadlines.
