Are you an experienced quality assurance professional with a background in food production or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG)? If so, we invite you to explore this opportunity with NUlinQ LTD, a family-owned food production company seeking to expand its team.
This role offers significant exposure, autonomy, and opportunities for advancement, making it an excellent fit for individuals with approximately five years of relevant experience looking for a new challenge.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure compliance with quality standards and industry regulations.
- Oversee interactions with clients and suppliers, documenting root cause analyses and corrective actions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the quality department.
- Uphold food safety and hygiene standards rigorously.
- Plan, manage, and coordinate the activities of the quality team.
- Administer the quality budget effectively.
- Maintain quality systems and procedures while ensuring a safe working environment.
- Achieve key performance indicators for the quality department.
- Ensure calibration of measuring equipment meets industry standards.
- Lead quality audits and inspections.
- Identify and resolve issues impacting equipment performance or safety.
- Champion best practices and introduce innovative technologies as needed.
- Collaborate with the technical manager to ensure customer specifications are current and maintained.
- Implement and oversee shelf life trial procedures and processes.
- Conduct audits related to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), fabrication, and glass & hard plastic.
- Perform risk assessments as required.
- Support the technical manager during site visits and third-party audits.
- Be a key member of the Food Safety, HACCP, TACCP, and VACCP teams.
- Establish and maintain hygiene schedules.
- Act as the site lead for laboratory testing, data trending, and reporting.
- Proven quality assurance experience in a food manufacturing setting.
- Experience in a customer-facing role within the UK retail sector.
- Prior experience as a quality manager in an FMCG environment.
- Knowledge of TACCP and HACCP principles.
- Level 4 Food Hygiene certification.
- NEBOSH or IOSH qualifications.
- Standard working hours from Monday to Friday (with potential for occasional extended hours).
