Job Description

**Quantitative Analyst - Sports Betting**

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantitative Analyst to join our team at Venture Up, a leading provider of sports betting brokerage software. As a Quantitative Analyst, you will play a key role in developing and managing proprietary models and algorithms that run at the heart of our bet-placement platform.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Design and build sports prediction models using advanced statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms.
  • Research and implement recent advances in Bayesian updating to improve model performance.
  • Collaborate with expert traders and developers to refine and optimize models.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of statistical prediction and probability theory, including regression and model fitting.

**Requirements:**

  • 3+ years of commercial experience in the sports betting industry.
  • A 1st class mathematics-based degree from a top university or a 2:1 from Oxbridge.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in statistics are preferred.
  • Intellectual curiosity, creativity, and confidence to try new approaches.
  • An interest in sports or competitive games.
