Position: Process Improvement Engineer

Compensation: Competitive Salary

Work Schedule: Monday to Thursday 07:30 to 16:00 and Friday 07:30 to 12:30, totaling 37 hours per week

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

The primary objective of this role is to enhance the assembly and production processes by analyzing product and manufacturing techniques, designing, and implementing effective workflows and operational guidelines. The Process Improvement Engineer will serve as a crucial link between the Operations and Engineering teams.

Daily Activities:

  • Act as a vital connection between Operations and Engineering.
  • Assist the Operations team in developing cost-efficient manufacturing systems for both new and existing projects.
  • Analyze and refine assembly and production processes by evaluating product and manufacturing methods, followed by the design and execution of enhancements.
  • Design and implement tools, fixtures, testing equipment, and jigs to facilitate the manufacturing process.
  • Interpret and assess technical drawings, models, and designs for production and assembly.
  • Explore new technologies to enhance capacity and quality.
  • Prepare business cases and recommendations for management consideration.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives and deliver presentations to management and staff.
  • Support production teams in resolving complex issues, analyzing problems, and proposing corrective actions to ensure smooth production flow.
  • Measure and evaluate standard times, suggesting and implementing enhancements.
  • Ensure all procured equipment meets specified corporate standards and operates within required tolerances and capacities.

Candidate Profile:

  • HNC/Degree in an Engineering discipline.
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations.
  • Experience in Production/Methods Engineering within manufacturing settings.
  • Familiarity with Lean methodologies.
  • Experience with MRP systems and problem-solving techniques such as QRQC, 5Y, Ishikawa, and 8D.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications.
  • Effective presentation skills.
