Primary Objective:

The Manufacturing Process Engineer will assist the Operations division and drive Operational Excellence projects by creating cost-efficient production systems for both new and existing initiatives.

This position emphasizes the enhancement of assembly and manufacturing workflows through comprehensive analysis of products and methodologies, alongside the design and execution of enhancements.

The Manufacturing Process Engineer acts as the main point of contact between Operations and the Engineering division.

Core Responsibilities:

In the role of Manufacturing Process Engineer, your key duties will encompass the design and implementation of tools, fixtures, and jigs aimed at improving manufacturing workflows while ensuring safety is a top priority.

You will assess and incorporate new technologies to enhance production capacity and quality, continuously evaluating efficiency and proposing as well as executing enhancements.

Your responsibilities will include managing BOM routings and product structures, ensuring data integrity in Movex, and optimizing workplace layouts for efficient workflows.

Collaboration with the Engineering division will be essential to facilitate the cost-effective launch of new products, including packaging design and the development of user-friendly work instructions.

Moreover, you will spearhead improvement initiatives, formulate business cases for management consideration, and support production by addressing complex technical challenges.

Your role will also involve ensuring equipment compliance with specifications, engaging in quality assurance activities, and providing training on both new and existing equipment.


Collaborative Relationships:
Work closely with Supervision, Maintenance, Operational Excellence, Competence Leads, QA, and Engineering teams.

Qualifications & Education:
HNC Engineering qualification is essential.
Graduate status, preferably in Production Engineering, is advantageous.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
Comprehensive understanding of Health & Safety regulations.
Experience in Production/Methods Engineering within manufacturing settings.
Engineering experience equivalent to HNC level.
Extensive knowledge of internal processes.
Experience in a Lean manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with MRP systems and problem-solving methodologies (e.g., QRQC, 5Y, Ishikawa, 8D).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in the rail sector, familiarity with safety-critical environments, knowledge of regulated industries (e.g., ISO, RISAS, IRIS, COMAH), experience in standard time measurement, NPI and ToT/ToP experience, CAD skills, and familiarity with Lean tools (e.g., VSM, SMED, Poke-yoke, 5S, single-piece flow, Yamazumi), along with budget management capabilities.
