Position Overview


We are currently seeking an Assistant Food & Beverage Manager at Wood Hall Hotel & Spa, part of Hand Picked Hotels.


Wood Hall Hotel & Spa is recognized as one of the premier hotels in West Yorkshire, providing a luxurious experience from the moment you arrive.

With a 2AA Rosette fine dining restaurant and stunning views of the Yorkshire countryside, it is the perfect venue for creating lasting memories.


Key Responsibilities


In this role, you will report to the Food & Beverage Manager and assist in overseeing the entire Food & Beverage operation, ensuring high standards of service are consistently maintained.

Manage, support, and guide our vibrant and diverse team to ensure they create magical memories for all of our guests, every time.

You will embody the ultimate hospitality professional, making each guest feel special and motivating team members to do the same.

Assist in managing the department's payroll budget and other food and beverage operating costs in line with the budget to achieve targeted profit contributions.

Being an Assistant Food & Beverage Manager requires significant skill and dedication; therefore, you will possess exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, along with the stamina to remain calm under pressure.

Candidate Profile


To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous Food & Beverage management experience within a multi-outlet 4/5 Star luxury hotel.
  • Experience in effectively assisting in managing large-scale conferences, banqueting events, and weddings.
  • Excellent knowledge of wine, with the confidence to offer wine pairings.
  • Proven experience in managing, coaching, and developing teams, with a passion for motivating others to achieve their best.
  • A drive to deliver outstanding and memorable customer service.
  • Exceptional rapport-building skills with colleagues and guests.

Above all, you will have a professional, organized, and friendly demeanor, with the ability to anticipate our guests' needs and create memorable experiences.

  • A competitive salary package of £15.82 per hour, plus a share of service charge.
  • This is a Full-Time role working 5 days out of 7, including weekends on a rota basis, totaling 40 hours per week, which may vary depending on business needs.
