Position: Construction Insulation Quality Supervisor

Location: Home-based in Greater London/Home Counties, UK

We are seeking a dedicated Construction Insulation Quality Supervisor to join our team at ETS Technical, a leading provider of auditing and inspection services within the construction sector.

As a Construction Insulation Quality Supervisor, you will be tasked with conducting comprehensive building inspections, both on-site and in terms of quality assurance, to ensure adherence to established scheme requirements. You will also provide essential information and guidance to installation teams and their personnel.

This role requires regular engagement with site installers, builders, and architects through site visits and communication via phone or email.

About You:

Ideal candidates for this position will possess a diverse background in the construction industry, with a solid understanding of various installation and maintenance techniques. You should hold qualifications or certifications in one or more of the following areas:
- CSCS Card
- PASMA MCWP
- SMSTS
- DEA or Green Deal Assessor
- ACOPS
- Asbestos Awareness
- Energy Advice Qualification 6176

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct general building inspections, both on-site and for quality assurance, ensuring compliance with established scheme requirements and building regulations.
  • Provide relevant information and guidance to installation teams while maintaining productivity and inspection quality.
  • Complete detailed, pre-formatted technical reports on installations and inspected works, highlighting areas of non-compliance.
  • Act as an efficient and courteous liaison between the public, installers, architects, designers, builders, and building control authorities.
  • Participate in site meetings and collaborate with local authorities, manufacturers, and other entities to recommend and agree on necessary remedial actions.

Desired Skills and Expertise:
  • Extensive knowledge of the building and construction industry, particularly regarding product installation and maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of building and construction product installation techniques and procedures.
  • A minimum of three years of industry experience related to building insulation, including external wall insulation, cavity wall insulation, and loft insulation.
  • Relevant building and construction qualifications and membership in applicable trade bodies.
  • Experience in site engineering or management, with a solid grasp of building regulations and their application on construction sites.
  • Proficient in liaising with site installers, builders, and architects through site visits and communication.
