Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Waiting List Administrator to support the Cardiology and Respiratory service lines at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Main Duties

We are seeking an efficient and committed Waiting List Administrator to provide validation support to the Cardiology and Respiratory service lines under the direction of the Waiting List Manager.

The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring Trakcare entries reflect the 18-week pathway activities, developing a good understanding of diagnostic and non-diagnostic procedures, and validating patients' 18-week pathways to ensure weekly 18-week position and Patient Tracking Lists are accurate.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Administration Team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient-centred care.

The successful applicant will receive induction and training appropriate to the activities they will undertake.

Person Specification

Essential Qualifications

  • GCSE grade C or above (or equivalent) in literacy and numeracy

Essential Experience

  • Appropriate experience in a hospital or office environment

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Understanding and previous experience in medical terminology

Key Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to use a keyboard with a high degree of speed and accuracy for inputting information
  • IT experience of Microsoft Office packages
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
