Role Purpose

A leading software solutions company, Ideagen, is seeking a skilled Commercial Finance Business Partner to join their team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing strategic financial insights and support to drive business performance. This position will involve working closely with different business units to ensure financial objectives align with the overall strategic goals of the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning and forecasting, ensuring accurate and reliable data is used to inform strategic decisions.
  • Analyze financial performance and provide actionable recommendations for improvement, identifying areas for cost reduction and revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with business units to prepare budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with company-wide objectives.
  • Monitor and report on financial metrics and business performance, providing regular updates to senior management.
  • Support decision-making processes by providing financial analysis and insights, helping to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Identify financial risks and opportunities, working closely with the finance team to mitigate potential risks and capitalize on new opportunities.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, providing clear and concise analysis of financial performance.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies, maintaining the highest standards of financial governance.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in business partnering or financial planning and analysis, with a strong understanding of financial modeling and analysis.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders across the organization.
  • Strategic and analytical mindset, with the ability to think critically and provide innovative solutions to complex financial challenges.
  • Ability to work with incomplete data sets, using analytical skills to fill gaps and provide accurate insights.
  • Independent and able to manage multiple priorities, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results under pressure.
