As a leading construction contractor, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional results while maintaining the highest standards of health and safety. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive health and safety programs to mitigate risks and promote a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop, implement, and maintain effective Health & Safety policies and procedures in line with industry best practices and legal requirements.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop comprehensive Method Statements to ensure safe working practices on all projects.
- Provide guidance and training to employees at all levels on health and safety regulations, procedures, and best practices.
- Monitor compliance with health and safety standards through regular site inspections and audits.
- Investigate accidents and incidents promptly and effectively, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain accurate records of all health and safety documentation, training, and incident reports.
- Stay abreast of changes in legislation and industry best practices related to health and safety.
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience as a Health & Safety Manager within the civil engineering sector.
- Strong understanding of relevant health and safety legislation, regulations, and standards (e.g., CDM Regulations, Construction Design and Management).
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification in occupational health and safety.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in risk assessment methodologies and the development of safe working procedures.
