Principal Clinical Informatician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Informatician to join our team at King's College Hospital. As a key member of our AI and Data Science group, CogStack, you will play a crucial role in developing predictive algorithms using Machine Learning techniques to improve healthcare outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement predictive algorithms using Machine Learning techniques to analyze healthcare data and improve patient outcomes.
- Manage, analyze, and harmonize genomics data alongside existing clinical, diagnostics, and imaging data analytical pipelines.
- Lead the development of new services and applications that build on our data lake architecture, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy data-driven solutions that meet the needs of our clinical stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain high-quality data systems, ensuring data governance and quality management processes are in place.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Machine Learning, AI, and data science, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement in our clinical analytics platform.
- PhD in computational biology, computer science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, or a related field.
- Post-graduate experience in advanced data analysis and machine learning related to healthcare.
- Experience in leading and managing a bioinformatics and data analytics team.
- Proficient in R and/or Python programming, with experience in data science libraries such as NumPy/SciPy, scikit-learn, pandas, and tidyverse.
- Experience with at least one major machine learning framework, such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Keras.
- Strong analytical and data visualization skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
