- Oversee the Soft Services delivery, ensuring compliance with and surpassing the established specifications.
- Monitor and manage the quality, safety, and performance of the outsourced service providers.

Candidate Profile
Detailed Job Description and Responsibilities
In collaboration with the Head of Site Services (HSS), you will lead the Soft Services delivery, ensuring it meets and ideally exceeds expectations and specifications. You will be responsible for managing and evaluating the performance, quality, and safety of outsourced providers while achieving cost-effectiveness.
Your role will involve close cooperation with various stakeholders to guarantee successful service delivery, requiring ongoing communication with department managers to assess their current and future facility needs.
The ideal candidate will excel in a dynamic environment, driven by the desire to make a significant impact and achieve results. You should be comfortable working under pressure and adhering to strict timelines. A self-starter with attention to detail, you will confidently navigate a complex stakeholder landscape to deliver high-quality services.
You will also act as a deputy for the HSS on matters related to Soft Services facilities and other management issues as directed by the HSS.
Essential Criteria
- Extensive experience in facilities management within a challenging environment, including design and operational oversight at a senior management level.
- Experience managing budgets, including budget formulation and a solid understanding of financial processes.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable Criteria
- In-depth knowledge of estates, facilities, and building management systems, including their implementation and management.
- Experience in facilities management within a high-containment, science-focused organization.
- Familiarity with current and future UK and International Estates Standards, carbon standards, and sustainability initiatives.
- Comprehensive understanding of project management principles and methodologies, such as PRINCE2.
