Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Operations Manager to join our team at Acorn by Synergie. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting a Safety-First Culture:
    • Maintain a safe and effective work environment by ensuring all Environmental, Health, and Safety issues are addressed, considering local regulations and company policy.
  • Energy and Water Management:
    • Manage energy and water use, ensuring compliance with regulations and implementing plans for reduction.
  • Waste Management:
    • Manage waste segregation, collection, and transportation, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Permit and Process Control:
    • Ensure policies, procedures, and documentation are relevant, up-to-date, and followed within the sphere of influence, including management of Permit Control where applicable.
  • Contractor Management:
    • Manage and coordinate external service providers, ensuring compliance with business requirements.
  • Total Predictive Maintenance (TPM):
    • Develop and maintain procedures utilizing standard methods and controls for the safe and effective deployment of TPM across the function.
  • Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Compliance:
    • Ensure required documentation and/or system transactions are executed to meet task history and financial reporting requirements in both an accurate and timely manner.
  • Manufacturing Initiatives:
    • Liaise with key individuals, including team leaders and local leadership team, to ensure departmental and business goals are achieved and recognized.
Requirements
  • Experience:
    • Proven knowledge of facility management activities.
    • Experience in creating and working to risk assessments and method statements.
    • Familiarity with CDM regulations or willingness to undergo training.
    • Competent in determining the type of tools and equipment needed to do a task safely and efficiently.
    • Ability to use computerized systems and basic knowledge of standard software (Word & Excel).
    • Sound administration skills.
    • Willingness to hold an out-of-hours phone.
  • Qualifications:
    • IOSH-trained or similar.
    • Counterbalance Fork-lift Truck license is advantageous.
    • Level 3 certificate in FM Practices or willingness to take qualification.
    • Demonstrated ability to function effectively with minimal supervision in a high-involvement, team-oriented work atmosphere, effectively supporting the work.
    • Expected to be a Site Responsible Person (SRP).
