Project Overview

Hinkley Point C represents a groundbreaking development in the UK’s energy sector, being the first new nuclear power station constructed in over two decades. This project aims to deliver sustainable electricity to approximately 6 million households, generate numerous employment opportunities, and provide enduring advantages to the UK economy.

This initiative marks a pivotal step in revitalizing the nuclear power industry, significantly aiding the UK’s efforts to decrease carbon emissions. The energy produced by its two EPR reactors is expected to mitigate 9 million tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions annually, accumulating to 600 million tonnes over its projected lifespan.

Key Responsibilities

As a Construction Site Coordinator, your role will encompass the following:

  • Create thorough documentation that aligns with contractual obligations and standards.
  • Acquire an in-depth understanding of the MEH Alliance scope to facilitate the compilation of contract deliverables into appropriate documentation that supports construction management systems.
  • Produce clear and accessible content tailored to the needs of various audiences.
  • Continuously assess document content and devise innovative strategies for enhancement.
  • Conduct research, outline, write, and edit both new and existing content, collaborating closely with diverse teams to grasp project requirements.
  • Independently collect information from subject matter experts to develop, organize, and compose procedure manuals, technical specifications, and processes.
  • Research, design, and maintain information architecture templates that adhere to organizational standards, ensuring easy access.
  • Generate content in various media formats for optimal usability, maintaining a consistent and cohesive message across all documentation.
  • Assist in the development of Construction Work Packs within the Switch system.

  • Prior experience in administration, particularly in writing documentation and procedural materials for diverse audiences.
  • Background in a construction or engineering-related field is advantageous.
  • Capability to secure a high-level security clearance.
  • CCNSG or HSE MaPs Safety Passport - eligibility for application prior to joining.
