About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in Weymouth. As a key member of our Housing First team, you will play a vital role in delivering our support projects and making a real difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Housing First team, colleagues, and accommodation providers to place clients directly into homes in places they want to be.
  • Develop outcome-focused support plans that reflect clients' personal strengths and goals, ensuring they can sustain their accommodation and thrive in their community.
  • Coordinate support around clients, acting as a key worker to help them sustain their accommodation and move forward with their lives.
  • Coordinate interventions provided by other agencies to ensure the right support is provided at the right time, enabling service users to progress on their journey to recovery.
  • Provide advice on various issues, including homelessness and housing options, tenancy issues, welfare and housing benefits, debt, and employment.
About You

We are looking for a candidate with a relevant background, including experience in housing, homelessness, and welfare benefits law, as well as supporting people who are vulnerable and/or have multiple disadvantages. You should have a good working knowledge of safeguarding frameworks and proficiency in using a range of IT tools, including Microsoft Office applications and case management systems.

A valid driving license and willingness to use your vehicle for work purposes are essential, as you will need to visit clients in their homes or community locations.
