Position Overview
Total Resourcing Ltd is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering division. The successful candidate will collaborate with multidisciplinary operational engineering teams to execute projects across various stages, from Front End Engineering Design (FEED) to commissioning, as well as providing support to Plant Operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct and oversee technical assessments.
- Design mechanical systems, ranging from strategic planning and conceptualization to detailed design and construction support. Expected deliverables include technical documentation, mechanical flow diagrams, P&IDs, and layout drawings, along with hazard management and technical specification reviews.
- Perform technical evaluations related to mechanical handling, including heavy transfer systems and powder processing in controlled environments.
- Engage in technical collaboration with other experts within the organization.
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who possess:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the nuclear sector.
- Membership in a relevant professional organization.
- Proven track record in engineering design and team leadership within the nuclear industry or similar regulated environments.
- Experience in delivering mechanical studies, focusing on aspects such as manufacturing, testing, and decommissioning.
- Experience in overseeing contractors in the nuclear sector or similar regulated industries.
- Recognition as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
- Experience with projects related to specific nuclear sites is advantageous.
