About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Offshore Technician to join our team at Principle Power. As a key member of our offshore operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth installation, commissioning, and maintenance of our WindFloat platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Commissioning: Plan and execute installation and commissioning activities for WindFloat platforms, ensuring timely and efficient completion of projects.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on WindFloat systems, including troubleshooting and addressing technical issues.
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to strict safety protocols and guidelines, ensuring the safety of yourself and your team. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Data Collection and Reporting: Collect and analyze data on platform performance and maintenance activities, identifying trends and optimizing maintenance schedules.
  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance and leadership to a team of offshore technicians, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory of spare parts and tools, ensuring availability and minimizing downtime.
  • Environmental Compliance: Ensure that all maintenance and repair activities adhere to environmental regulations, minimizing the impact on marine ecosystems.
Requirements
  • 5 years' experience in offshore environments.
  • Hold a recognized apprenticeship/NVQ 3 in Electrical or Mechatronics disciplines with strong technical expertise and experience.
  • Possess a 'Safety First' mentality.
  • Strong attention to detail and execution excellence, good interpersonal and customer relation skills.
  • Excellent trouble-shooting ability.
  • Able to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Basic computer operation skills, familiarity with internet-based program navigation.
  • Capable of leading by example, enforcing safety protocols, and ensuring team members adhere to safety standards.
  • Be a skilled communicator, providing clear instructions, sharing safety updates, and reporting issues.
  • Demonstrate experience, wisdom, and skills to address unexpected issues in offshore environments.
  • Possess experience of emergency response, taking the lead in coordinating efforts and ensuring team safety.
  • Be driven by safety, regulatory compliance, risk management, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
  • Have a desire to work in a hybrid onshore/offshore environment.
  • Be knowledgeable and experienced in multicultural and international environments.
  • Authorized to work in the UK.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience of Data Analysis related to maintenance activities and performance.
  • GWO BST certified.
  • Confined Space Entry Awareness with Breathing Apparatus.
  • Confined Space Rescue.
  • Chester step and OEUK medical.
  • OPITO Authorized Gas Tester.
