Job Title: Senior Offshore Technician

Principle Power is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Offshore Technician to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient installation, commissioning, and maintenance of our WindFloat platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and execute IMR activities on WindFloat platforms and associated equipment, ensuring continued reliability and performance.
  • Support project teams in other locations, including planning, refinement of procedures, and on-site operations.
  • Diagnose and address technical issues and faults in WindFloat systems, making on-the-spot repairs as needed.
  • Adhere to strict safety protocols and guidelines, promoting a safety-first culture among the crew.
  • Collect and analyze data on platform performance and maintenance activities, identifying trends and optimizing maintenance schedules.
  • Manage inventory of spare parts and tools, ensuring necessary components are available for maintenance and repairs.
  • Ensure all maintenance and repair activities adhere to environmental regulations, minimizing the impact on marine ecosystems.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with onshore support teams, fellow technicians, and management regarding maintenance activities and equipment status.
Requirements:
  • 5 years' experience in offshore environments.
  • Hold a recognized apprenticeship/NVQ 3 in Electrical or Mechatronics disciplines with strong technical expertise and experience.
  • Possess a 'Safety First' mentality and excellent trouble-shooting ability.
  • Strong attention to detail and execution excellence, good interpersonal and customer relation skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and basic computer operation skills.
  • Capable of leading by example, enforcing safety protocols, and ensuring team members adhere to safety standards.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English, with the ability to travel to any location where the company has active operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience of Data Analysis related to maintenance activities and performance.
  • GWO BST certified.
  • Confined Space Entry Awareness with Breathing Apparatus.
  • Confined Space Rescue.
  • Chester step and OEUK medical.
  • OPITO Authorized Gas Tester.
