About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic SEN teaching assistant to support Key Stage 1 and 2 pupils with special needs in a primary school. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support pupils with ASC, ADHD, and ADD in a classroom setting
  • Provide individual and group support to help children engage in classroom activities
  • Manage challenging behaviour and support positive behaviour in the classroom
  • Work collaboratively with teachers to adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of students
Requirements
  • Level 2 or 3 certificate in supporting teaching and learning in schools (or equivalent relevant experience)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Empathetic and supportive attitude recognising the unique challenges faced by SEN students
