Role Responsibilities

We are currently inviting applications for multiple Automation Technician roles within our Engineering Department. In this capacity, you will play a vital role in providing specialized engineering assistance to our manufacturing production lines. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Responding to equipment failures and diagnosing issues to restore operations promptly.
  • Implementing design changes, software updates, and enhancements to plant machinery while adhering to established software management protocols.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Educational Background: Completion of a time-served apprenticeship and attainment of HNC level or higher in Electrical, Electronic, or Instrumentation disciplines.
  • Professional Experience: Significant experience in a comparable role or manufacturing setting is required.
  • Essential Skills: Proficiency with Allen Bradley Control/Compact Logix or Siemens S7 PLCs is crucial. Experience with AC or DC inverter drives, troubleshooting, commissioning, and programming is necessary. Familiarity with instrumentation, control loop maintenance, and fault diagnosis is expected. Some experience with SCADA and HMI development is advantageous. A solid understanding of health and safety regulations, strong communication abilities, and the capacity to work independently are essential. Basic knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems is also beneficial.
