Company Overview: 2BM Recruitment Ltd is collaborating with a prominent Engineering and Manufacturing organization seeking a dedicated Electrical Maintenance Technician for a permanent position.

Position Summary: This role involves working on a rotating shift pattern of mornings and afternoons, offering a competitive salary along with shift allowances, bonuses, and an attractive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct repairs, maintenance, and installation of various CNC and industrial machinery within the manufacturing facility.
  • Perform a diverse range of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical tasks to diagnose faults and resolve issues in accordance with industry best practices and health & safety regulations.
  • Ensure that all plant and equipment are maintained to the highest standards to optimize availability, reliability, and efficiency while safeguarding the health and safety of all personnel.
  • Respond promptly to breakdown inquiries, document all maintenance activities in the system, and efficiently source spare parts and equipment to minimize production downtime.
  • Carry out additional tasks to maintain the integrity of the building, fixtures, fittings, support equipment, and electrical installations.
  • Report any incidents, including near misses and unsafe practices, to the production supervisor or site manager without delay.

Qualifications: Candidates should possess City & Guilds / NVQ or equivalent qualifications in Electrical Maintenance disciplines. Applicants should have completed an apprenticeship or have relevant industry experience as an Electrical Mechanical Maintenance Technician, including familiarity with Electrical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic, CNC-controlled machines, and PLCs.

Skills Required: The ideal candidate will demonstrate the necessary skills and experience to effectively execute electrical installations, troubleshoot issues, and commission new equipment. Additionally, the ability to plan preventative maintenance schedules and assist with maintenance projects is essential.

This is a full-time, permanent position requiring 37.5 hours of work per week, with a rotating schedule of morning and afternoon shifts from Monday to Friday.
