About the Role

The Environmental Contracts Manager plays a crucial role in delivering and monitoring our major contracts, including waste and recycling, street cleansing, and public conveniences. This position requires a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover the secondment of the incumbent officer who will be working with our waste contractor during the period.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the team of contract and resources officers who deal with residents, Councillors, and contractor staff to improve services.
  • Develop and implement effective contract management strategies to ensure the successful delivery of waste and recycling services.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address service delivery issues and implement solutions.
  • Monitor and report on contract performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery.
