Exciting Opportunity for a Graduate Environmental Scientist at Ecologia

We are seeking an Environmental Scientist to join our dynamic team at Ecologia. This role will focus on supporting Environmental Claims related to land-based oil spills and other incidents, offering a blend of office and field work. The ideal candidate will assist Project Managers in organizing projects, procuring materials and contractors, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with company standards.

  • Conducting Phase I and Phase II site investigations
  • Sampling soil and groundwater, and logging soil data
  • Overseeing excavations and sending samples to labs
  • Preparing Health and Safety documentation
  • Inspecting remediation sites and monitoring data
  • Coordinating with contractors and using scientific equipment

Office responsibilities include updating project records, report writing, and store maintenance. We prefer candidates with a degree in an environment/land-related field, but individuals with practical experience in handling oil spills may also be considered. A CSCS card is a plus but not mandatory, as we can provide training. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
