About the Role

RSK Group is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Environmental Scientist to join our team in the UK. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting our Project Managers with the organization of projects, procuring materials and contractors, preparing reports, and providing feedback from sites, while ensuring compliance with Company procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Phase I and Phase II site investigations to identify potential environmental hazards.
  • Collect and analyze soil and groundwater samples to determine contamination levels.
  • Supervise excavations and ensure that all necessary safety protocols are followed.
  • Prepare and send samples to accredited laboratories for analysis.
  • Assist in the preparation of Health and Safety documentation for site works.
  • Conduct remediation site inspections to ensure that all work is completed to the required standards.
  • Monitor and collate data from in-situ remediation systems.
  • Liaise with contractors to ensure that all work is completed on time and to the required standard.
  • Operate scientific equipment to collect and analyze data.
Office-Based Duties
  • Update project records to ensure that all information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Prepare project reports and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Assist with the maintenance of stores and equipment to ensure that all necessary materials are available.
Requirements
  • Qualified to degree level in an environment/land related subject.
  • Good literacy and reporting skills.
  • Flexible attitude to work and ability to work as an effective member of a team.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel across the South of England.
