Job Summary:

Assystem is seeking a highly skilled Principal Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. As a Principal Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting client projects through providing quality assurance, management, and control services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure client and supply-chain adherence to contracted quality requirements and support client programmes in meeting overall project quality standards.
  • Manufacturing Inspection and Test (MIT) Plans: Oversee MIT plans, quality records, NCR facilitation, root cause analysis, and audits, both on client sites and at subcontractor locations in the UK and overseas.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate closely with project functions and the supply chain to ensure consistent, safe, and efficient project quality, prioritizing nuclear safety.
  • Supplier Assessment: Assess supplier capability to meet current and future business needs.
  • Quality Assurance and Manufacturing/Site Surveillance: Establish and lead quality assurance and manufacturing/site surveillance plans to address identified risks.
  • Quality Audits: Assist quality auditors in resolving audit findings within the supply chain.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years post-academic experience, with 5 years preferably in the nuclear or highly regulated sector.
  • Skills: Proficient in improvement techniques like 8D, PDCA, RCA, Kaizen, and process mapping.
  • Qualifications: Member Grade Member of the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI), Qualified to (preferably engineering) HNC/Diploma/C&G Graduate level as a minimum, IRCA Registered Lead Auditor (Role Specific).
