Care Worker Level 2

About the Role
Care Workers at Level 2 play a vital role in implementing care plans and reporting any concerns or reasons care plans cannot be followed. They also monitor the care and welfare of citizens, recording accurate information on running records, communication books, care plans monitoring charts, and other written and electronic communications as required.
Care Workers at Level 2 are expected to work and cooperate with other professionals, as well as citizens and their meaningful others, to ensure a shared approach to care and support and continuity of care and treatment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe and appropriate personalized care and support to citizens in a way that maintains their dignity, maximizes independence, and gives them choice and control over the way their care is provided.
- Write and maintain individual person-centered care plans and administer medication as required.
- Work in any area of Adult Social Care, whether in the home, the community, or within a Council establishment, and be prepared to work with citizens with different and varying needs.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- The ability to assist and support citizens to exercise choice and control in accordance with their needs, preferences, and aspirations.
- The ability to encourage, motivate, and support citizens to maintain or regain maximum independence in all aspects of daily living and purposeful activities.
- The ability to develop and coordinate leisure and social activities that promote self-esteem, confidence, and a purposeful day.
- The ability to write and maintain up-to-date individual person-centered care plans for citizens.
A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.
