Senior Scheme Underwriting Specialist

We are seeking experienced professionals to join our Commercial Schemes Team, particularly those with a background in Property, Liability, or Motor underwriting. While familiarity with Agriculture, Estates & Care is advantageous, it is not a prerequisite for this role.

As part of our ongoing growth and structural enhancements within UK Commercial Schemes, we have multiple openings for Senior Scheme Underwriting Specialists.

Role Overview:

In this capacity, you will be responsible for managing Profit & Loss, Revenue, and Broker Relationships across a range of Schemes. Your expertise in Scheme Management will be essential to fulfill customer needs, drive profitable expansion, maintain Underwriting standards, and ensure adherence to the Delegated Authority Governance Framework.

This position offers flexibility in location, with opportunities available in various cities, and may require occasional travel.

Key Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in Property, Liability, or Motor underwriting (knowledge of Agriculture, Estates & Care is a plus but not essential)
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate performance at both Scheme and Portfolio levels, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a large organization
  • High technical proficiency coupled with a genuine interest in the UK Commercial Schemes Strategy
  • Ability to manage complex risks and technical referrals, mentor junior Scheme Underwriters, and deliver impactful presentations to Brokers
  • A commitment to continuous learning and process enhancement through in-depth understanding
