Senior Scheme Underwriting Specialist

We are seeking a dynamic professional to join our Commercial Schemes Team, ideally suited for those with a background in Property, Liability, or Motor underwriting. While experience in Agriculture, Estates & Care is advantageous, it is not a prerequisite for this role.

As part of our ongoing growth and restructuring within UK Commercial Schemes, we have multiple openings for Senior Scheme Underwriting Specialists.

Role Overview:

In this position, you will be responsible for managing Profit & Loss, Revenue, and Broker Relationships across a portfolio of Schemes. Your expertise in Scheme Management will be crucial in fulfilling customer needs, driving profitable expansion, maintaining Underwriting standards, and ensuring adherence to the Delegated Authority Governance Framework.

Key Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in Property, Liability, or Motor underwriting (knowledge in Agriculture, Estates & Care is a plus but not essential)
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate performance at both Scheme and Portfolio levels, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a large organization
  • High technical proficiency coupled with a strong interest in the UK Commercial Schemes Strategy
  • Ability to manage complex risks and technical referrals, mentor junior Scheme Underwriters, and deliver impactful presentations to Brokers
  • A commitment to continuous learning and process enhancement through a thorough understanding of the field
