About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Postural Stability Support Worker to join our Healthy Lifestyles Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of postural stability strength and balance exercise programs across the Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation footprint.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and clear rooms for exercise sessions, ensuring a safe and effective environment for participants.
  • Support Postural Stability Instructors in delivering exercise programs, correcting participants' technique, and monitoring for any issues or concerns.
  • Provide exercise demonstrations under the supervision of a Postural Stability Instructor.
  • Welcoming and signing in participants, updating attendance records, and making telephone calls to patients regarding the program.
Requirements
  • Level 2 NVQ in fitness or health and social care.
  • Experience of working with older adults and within groups.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to motivate and engage participants.
