Location: Southampton

We are seeking a full-time, Level 3 qualified Room Leader to become a vital part of our Bright Horizons Southampton Nursery.

Our Bright Horizons Southampton Day Nursery is centrally located, with excellent transport links and holds an Ofsted rating of Good.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team to provide outstanding care and education
  • Ensure the learning environment is consistently stimulating and engaging for children, both indoors and outdoors
  • Plan and deliver enriching learning experiences and exceptional care to support children in reaching their individual milestones
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with colleagues, parents, and other professionals to address the unique needs of each child
  • Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety, and safeguarding
  • Collaborate with colleagues to foster a positive, happy, and safe environment

Qualifications:

  • Full and Relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification (essential)
  • Prior experience in an Early Years setting, ideally as a Room Leader, Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, or similar role
  • Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and relevant legislative requirements for working with children
  • Ability to establish trust and strong working relationships with colleagues and parents
  • Proficient in using various communication techniques with both children and adults
