We are seeking a Relief Community Activities Facilitator. In this position, you will be an integral member of the Community Activities Team, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to assisting individuals across various community environments.

The Community Activities program is designed to promote social inclusion, leisure, and community engagement. It empowers individuals with learning disabilities to enhance their skills and confidence, broaden their social networks, and fully participate in their local communities.

This program offers diverse support, collaborating with individuals through various activities and facilitating access to local opportunities.

Individuals with learning disabilities guide the activities they wish to pursue, such as arts and crafts, gardening, drama, sports, cooking, and technology skills. This approach provides everyone with the chance to learn, develop new skills, forge friendships, and become part of a vibrant local community.

As a Relief Facilitator, you will be a valued member of the Community Activities Team, and your role will require flexibility and a strong commitment to supporting individuals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute actively and positively as a colleague by offering ideas and solutions to enhance individual and team performance.
  • Ensure that the plans established for the individuals we support are centered around their needs, with their full involvement in all planning and review processes.
  • Exhibit creativity, dynamism, and adaptability in addressing potential challenges related to the needs of the individuals we support.
  • Complete all documentation requirements promptly, ensuring high-quality reporting and record-keeping.
  • Communicate with the individuals being supported with dignity and respect.
  • Build rapport not only with the individuals we support but also with the broader community, including family members.
  • Work in a manner that empowers the individuals supported to make decisions and choices, enabling them to access new opportunities aligned with their desired lifestyles.
