About Our Client:
A prominent provider of integrated design and construction solutions within the water industry.

With a workforce exceeding 1,000 professionals across multiple regional offices, they primarily support long-term frameworks in the water sector, often collaborating in joint ventures and partnerships.


Role Overview:

In this position, you will report to the Commercial Manager and be entrusted with the Commercial Management of various projects.


Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee quantity surveying tasks related to project and work package management.

- Collaborate with design, construction, and supply chain teams to monitor, analyze, and manage costs.

- Work closely with clients to ensure their business needs are fulfilled.

- Administer the main contract, ensuring all contractual notices and correspondence are properly identified and addressed.

- Prepare and distribute subcontract documentation.

- Support the management and performance evaluation of subcontractors.

- Oversee the preparation and agreement of payment applications.

- Generate project cost and value reports, budgets, and forecasts.

- Assist in the training and development of junior commercial staff.

- Engage in continuous professional development through networking, conferences, and industry associations to remain updated on sector advancements.

- Maintain a constructive and solution-focused approach to work, providing transparent and honest feedback.

Required Experience:
- Extensive commercial experience, ideally within a contracting environment.

- BSc or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline.

- Progressing towards or holding chartered status with a recognized institution.

- Experience in utilities, civil engineering, or MEICA sectors.

- Familiarity with standard contract forms such as
NEC and IChemE.

- Proficient in claim management processes.

- Financially savvy with a relevant CSCS Card.
