Merco Medical Staffing Limited is seeking dedicated and experienced Youth Support Facilitators to join our team in providing essential assistance to young individuals.

Your Responsibilities:

In the role of Youth Support Facilitator, you will be integral to our mission of empowering and guiding young people. Your duties will include leading various recreational activities, including sports and creative projects, as well as facilitating sessions for youth clubs.

This position involves working with individuals aged 11 to 19, and up to 21 for those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

You will assist in organizing youth activities and other center responsibilities, which will involve engaging with young people and supporting the preparation and execution of programs.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • A solid understanding of the challenges faced by young individuals.
  • Proven experience in engaging with youth.
  • Background in a youth club environment, whether through paid employment or volunteer work.
  • Awareness of the necessary boundaries within the youth/youth worker dynamic.
  • Demonstrated patience, tolerance, and adaptability.
  • Ability to handle young people's concerns with respect and sensitivity.

Desirable:

  • Level 2 Safeguarding knowledge.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Youth Work.
  • Understanding of safeguarding principles and best practices in youth work.

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Arrive punctually and assist in setting up, managing, and dismantling activities for children and young people.
  • Encourage and support individual young people in achieving their personal goals.
  • Help in planning and organizing activities for youth center participants.
  • Deliver engaging sports activities to young individuals.
  • Foster creativity and artistic expression in projects aimed at female-identifying and LGBTQ+ youth.
  • Assist with briefings and evaluations before and after each session.
  • Occasionally take on the role of lead Youth Support Facilitator as needed.
  • Be responsible for opening and closing the facility when required.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices in First Aid, Health and Safety, Safeguarding, and Data Protection at all times.

Location: East London

Compensation: £13.15 per hour (weekly pay)

Working Hours: Flexible hours available on specified days.
