About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Autism Support Worker to join our team at Search, a leading provider of support services for individuals with a variety of needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and guidance to a service user with Autism, promoting independence, dignity, and well-being.
  • Coordinate and allocate work tasks, ensuring that support is delivered effectively and in line with individual care plans.
  • Provide hands-on support to individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs, fostering a safe and supportive environment.
  • Undertake assessments and reviews of individual care plans, ensuring that care is tailored to meet the unique needs of each client.
  • Liaise with families, carers, and external professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to care, promoting seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Monitor and report on the progress and well-being of clients, providing regular updates and insights to inform care planning.
  • Support with staff training, development, and supervision, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working in a similar role within the social care sector, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality care and support.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent, demonstrating a strong foundation in care principles and practices.
  • Experience of working with individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs, with a deep understanding of their unique challenges and requirements.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to deliver exceptional care and support.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meet the changing needs of clients and the organization.
