We are seeking an experienced Senior Hardware Engineer to join our team at Raytheon UK. As a key member of our Assured Position, Navigation and Timing (APNT) team, you will be responsible for designing and developing digital GPS anti-jam systems for the military market.
Key Responsibilities:- Work alongside system engineers and modellers to develop electronic subsystem architectures
- Create hardware models and run simulations to validate design performance
- Design and develop PCBs, selecting components and verifying their functionality
- Collaborate with embedded software engineers and mechanical engineers to ensure seamless system integration
- Generate design documentation and perform regular technical reviews
- Experience with embedded digital electronics and microprocessor systems
- Experience with ADC/DAC, memory devices (SRAM, Flash), and FPGAs/SoC technologies
- Experience with high-speed interfaces (LVDS, JESD) and signal technologies
- Ability to design for manufacture and present technical information clearly
- Demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills, with an openness to learn and adapt
- Eligible or holder of current SC security clearance
- Experience with Xilinx chip family and systems engineering approach
- Familiarity with Mentor Xpedition PCB design tool and SPICE
- Experience creating DO254 compliant electronic systems and understanding VITA interface
- APNT systems domain knowledge and/or experience in a similar field
