Job Overview

Raytheon Technologies is seeking an Electronics Modelling Engineer to join our successful Assured Position, Navigation and Timing (APNT) team. This role will involve creating Digital GPS Anti-Jam Systems for the military market.

About the Role

The Electronics Modelling Engineer will be responsible for developing requirements to ensure compliance with relevant standards, working alongside system engineers/modellers on architectures of electronic subsystems, and creating hardware models and running simulations. Additionally, the candidate will need to read/create schematics, work with embedded software engineers and mechanical engineers, and generate supporting design documentation.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop requirements to ensure compliance to relevant standards.
  • Work alongside system engineers/modellers on architectures of electronic subsystems.
  • Create hardware models and run the appropriate simulation.
  • Read/create schematics.
  • Work alongside embedded software engineers and mechanical engineers.
  • Generate supporting design documentation and perform regular technical reviews.
Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will have experience with embedded digital electronics and microprocessor systems, as well as working with ADC/DAC, memory devices such as SRAM/Flash, FPGAs and SoC technologies. The candidate should also have model-based design creation and simulation experience, understanding of IBIS, SPICE, etc. models, and experience with Matlab/Simulink, SPICE toolsets.

Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this position is around £60,000-£80,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
