Job Title: Sales Manager (Reports To: Regional Manager)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve budgeted gross profit targets through effective management of the sales team.
  • Lead and inspire a dedicated group of Account Managers.
  • Meet personal margin objectives from the existing customer base.
  • Ensure that Sales and Marketing expenses remain below 20% of total generated margin.
  • Reach targets for focus brands, new business opportunities, and increased customer spending.

Main Duties:

  • Strategically plan and execute the gross profit budget for the region.
  • Maintain a cost base cap of 20%.
  • Oversee daily operations, training, and professional development of team members.
  • Enhance the performance of local account managers by focusing on new business, margin growth, and customer spending.
  • Conduct joint visits to key clients to improve onboarding success.
  • Facilitate monthly sales meetings.
  • Perform annual evaluations of team members.
  • Collaborate on the recruitment of new sales staff with the Sales Director and Depot Manager.
  • Manage relationships and profitability with key regional accounts.
  • Demonstrate motivation and the ability to handle high-pressure situations while effectively managing personnel.
  • Represent the team within the organization.
  • Act as a liaison between the team and the company.
  • Coordinate with partner depot managers to achieve profit targets.
  • Prepare and present accurate reports to company executives.
  • Stay informed about competitor activities.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in the on-trade beverage sector is essential.
  • Valid UK driving license.
  • Experience in team management.
  • Proficiency in CRM and sales software.
  • Strong sales reporting skills.
