The ideal candidate will possess a solid culinary foundation, a passion for quality, and a genuine love for traditional street food. As a Street Food Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head/SNR Sous Chef to uphold our standards of authenticity and excellence while managing high-volume service. You will collaborate with a dynamic team of up to 20 kitchen professionals, including a Chef de Partie (CDP) who will work closely with you, alongside an additional 2 CDPs. This position requires outstanding teamwork, leadership abilities, and a relentless pursuit of culinary excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development and execution of a menu that reflects our commitment to quality and authenticity, designed for large-scale catering.

• Supervise daily food preparation, ensuring that each dish is crafted with the finest ingredients and presented consistently, even during peak service periods.

• Efficiently prepare and assemble dishes during busy service times, upholding the highest standards of quality and authenticity.

• Mentor and oversee kitchen staff, including a direct CDP and additional CDPs, fostering respect for traditional cooking methods and premium ingredients.

• Collaborate with the Head/SNR Sous Chef to manage a kitchen team of up to 20, ensuring smooth operations and high team morale.

• Monitor inventory levels, source high-quality ingredients, and manage stock to minimize waste while ensuring freshness.

• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to all health and safety regulations, particularly in high-volume environments.

• Work with the Head/SNR Sous Chef to innovate new recipes and menu items that honor authentic culinary traditions while catering to large-scale service demands.

• Assist in managing food costs and budgets, ensuring profitability without compromising ingredient quality.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a high-quality culinary setting, ideally in large-scale catering or high-volume service.

• Culinary degree or relevant certification is advantageous.

• Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.

• Excellent culinary skills with a keen attention to detail and presentation.

• Ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Exceptional leadership and communication skills.

• Experience in managing and training a team, including CDPs and junior kitchen staff.

• Passion for utilizing high-quality ingredients and preserving authentic culinary practices.
