The ideal candidate will possess a strong culinary foundation, a commitment to excellence, and a passion for genuine street food. As a Sous Chef, you will support the Head/SNR Sous Chef in upholding the highest standards of authenticity and quality while managing high-volume service. You will collaborate with a team of up to 20 kitchen professionals, including a Chef de Partie (CDP) who will work closely with you and oversee an additional 2 CDPs. This position requires outstanding teamwork, leadership skills, and a dedication to culinary excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in menu planning and preparation that emphasizes our commitment to authenticity and quality for large-scale catering.

• Supervise daily food preparation, ensuring that every dish is crafted with premium ingredients and presented consistently, even during peak service times.

• Efficiently prepare and assemble dishes, maintaining the highest standards of quality and authenticity.

• Train and mentor kitchen staff, including a direct CDP and overseeing an additional 2 CDPs, fostering respect for traditional cooking techniques and high-quality ingredients.

• Collaborate with the Head/SNR Sous Chef to manage a kitchen team of up to 20, ensuring smooth operations and a positive work environment.

• Monitor inventory levels, source top-quality ingredients, and manage stock to minimize waste and ensure freshness.

• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to all health and safety regulations, especially critical in high-volume settings.

• Work with the Head/SNR Sous Chef to create new recipes and menu items that honor authentic culinary traditions while accommodating large-scale service demands.

• Assist in managing food costs and budgets, ensuring profitability without compromising ingredient quality.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a high-quality culinary environment, particularly in large-scale catering or high-volume service.

• Culinary degree or relevant certification is advantageous.

• Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.

• Excellent culinary skills with a keen eye for detail and presentation.

• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Exceptional leadership and communication abilities.

• Experience in managing and training a team, including CDPs and junior kitchen staff.

• Passion for utilizing high-quality ingredients and preserving authentic culinary traditions.
